We just completed our second project with Urbanology and I could not be more thrilled. From a design perspective, they took a builder grade home and made it look like a dream house. So much so that friends of mine saw photos and thought we had MOVED. They are incredibly talented. But not only is the teams design eye exceptional, they truly listen, making design decisions that speak to me and my family as individuals and not just another project in the lineup (they even went so far as to select books for our library based on my interests).

Ginger and her team went above and beyond all expectations we had for this project. Ginger approached us and offered to donate her time to redo two of the bedrooms in our charity's restoration home for girls rescued from human trafficking. We had pulled the house together on a shoestring budget and only hoped to make it more cozy and inviting with the renovation. However, Ginger and her team completely blew the top off of this project and gave our girls two bedrooms to not only be proud of, but to relax, heal and dream again in. I used the Full-Home Architectural Review Service offered by Urbanology. I love that this is an a-la-carte service that provides me total peace of mind for making the final approval to our Architectural plans. I was asked to send over a list of any concerns I had with the home, any design boards and videos of the home, along with a file of the renovation plans for our 1927 Tudor Revival home. The Urbanology team reviewed my plans and a few days later, we scheduled a 1.5 hour call. Liz ran the Zoom call and she covered every single concern I had for the home, including the flow of the kitchen, should I vault the ceiling, add beams or not, squeeze in a shower in the powder room, best place for the TV in the Family room, where to add more windows, location of bathroom and closet doors, shape of doorway arches, etc. She also sketched in suggested placement of appliances and lighting and found creative ways to relocate and repurpose some of the original windows and doors in the home to work with the new floor plan. Liz took great care to consider the historic style of the home with all of her suggestions. Liz sent me design sketches overlaid onto the architectural plans for every room of the home, as well as inspiration photos that best highlighted her design concept, and they arrived via email within 10 minutes after the call. My husband and I were completely satisfied with the level of detail and expertise shared during the Architectural Review. We now have peace of mind to move forward with the plans!

In my 20 years of as a professional builder, remodeler, and business owner, I can tell you that are only a handful of people and teams like Urbanology. Urbanology Designs is a MUST, but only if you want your spaces to be designed with inspiration and adventure. It is quite an experience to watch an Urbanology designer enter your space. You can almost see the lightbulbs of ideas and inspirations popping out of their heads. They have so many resources for furniture, rugs, lighting, one-of-a-kind accessories, and art at their fingertips. I love the way Urbanology uses color and fine details to personalize a space. Also appreciated is the respect for the client’s currently owned and loved pieces.

The Urbanology team previously performed a commercial renovation project for us, which several years later, still receives regular compliments. More recently we moved into a new (for us) house. This house had been updated in the very safe way of many new houses these days, but we needed to make it home for us. After just a short time with our Urbanology designer we now have the vision and resources to do just that! If your project is new construction or space(s) transformation, Urbanology is the call to make!

Working with Ginger and the Urbanology Team was super easy. It felts like they were an extension of our team. From the communication, to the detailed design documents, everything was a smooth process. Working on the guest house was a very cool experience as we got to experience Ginger in her own element and seeing the outside of the box thinking in real time.
