Had money transfered to truist bank and was informed the transaction was a scam. Told truist to return the money to my credit union and truist released the money to the scam instead. Truist said there is nothing they can do about it and I'm out 34,266 dollars. Would not trust this bank with any of my money.

One of ur new employees refused to cash my fiancé's check! He's been cashing it there for a month now and it's always been a day early from the date on the check! Every single time! So DO NOT SAY YOU "WONT" CASH IT WHEN U MOST DEFINITELY HAVE BEEN AND YOU MOST DEFINITELY CAN!

I don't bank there. I just cash my checks there. But I know for a fact you have to have a deposit slip along with the money or check. That's for any bank you go to. Just because your a client don't make you special. And the teller's there are very nice and respectful. One time I cashed a check and one shorted it by 💯 dollars, but I didn't think anything of it. Anyone can make a mistake. I went back later that day. They apologized and gave me my money, no questions asked.

Worst bank tellers ever! I deposit every week the same way and was told I can’t deposit more than 3 at a time? I asked her since when and she said it’s been that way.. I was then told I need a deposit slip when I have never needed one before? They actually told me they don’t do deposit slips for commercial properties… these people don’t know what they are doing they are disrespectful and nasty. I was attacked by 3 different people and was told I was being aggressive for asking questions? This is ridiculous they don’t know how to do their job!! They are arrogant and ignorant people and refused to deposit my checks it’s disgraceful and disgusting behavior. I’m reporting this branch because this is just unacceptable behavior for a bank. I hope they read this review and get themselves together. You guys need to grow up and be professional!!!!

This is possibly the worst bank I've ever been with. Their debit card fails pretty consistently for no apparent reason. I use other out of state banks cards for same transactions and they go through just fine. The kicker for me was that when I signed up, I am certain I specified, no overdraft. I do not want one. Recently a predatory overdraft fee, $36 was placed on my account. I was then informed that with Truist, I can not opt out of the overdraft "protection" unless i keep thousands of dollars in my account. If I'm not mistaken, and I will research further, a federal law was made recently. Banks can not force customers into overdraft programs, they must let them opt out. Not Truist. Did you know banks make millions, literal millions on overdraft fees every year. I will be switching banks promptly. Most banks got the memo on overdrafts, on that, the research is done.

We have an account with Truist, but when my husband went to have a boat title notarized he was informed that they would not notarize it, because the guy (whom was there with my husband) we were buying the boat from did not have an account with Truist. I want someone to tell me, what is the probability of two people that don't know each other using the same bank? Sounded like a bunch of bulls*&t to me and they just didn't want to do their job. I would like to see Truist's policy and procedure for providing notary services.

I have called over 12 different branches and tried every possible way to speak with someone at BBT/Truist. The one single human that did pick up immediately connected me with someone else and I got to listen to their voicemail. I have left over over 5 messages in the last hour and a half, got one return phone call. The first thing out of his mouth was how busy he was and that he had 7 more calls to return. He didn't even ask me how he could help. I had to interject my reason for the call. I repeated my self three times before he actually finally quit repeating the wrong answer to my question. You could tell he was more worried about getting me off the phone than helping me. Why even have phones? You don't want to engage with the customer it seems. The branches are closed and only drive throughs are available with some of the slowest people in the world. I love watching and hearing the tellers stopping to talk about personal business instead of handling customer transactions. If you say something their response makes it seem as though you are the problem for being there, not their slowness and unprofessional demeanor. If the banks are so busy why don't they hire more people. I get the annual reports; their profits, revenue and assets are incredible, all at the expense of the customer. BBT can scream COVID all you want, but your customer service was bad before COVID and only got geometrically worse with COVID. How about when you do hire people, hiring people who can answer questions and know something about customer relations. I only gave BBT one star so I could post my complaint. I once heard someone call BBT, BB and fees. I see their point.

Paid my bill here each month for over 2 years. Very friendly staff. And usually there are plenty of tellers. So waiting in line is minimal. The tellers are well experienced and they seem to have a low turnover. Which makes return visits a breeze.
