Thank you Valerie, for helping to get our home sold in record time. Homes in our price range and area are on the market an average of 180 days. We got offers within 3 days and closed in 6 weeks from listing. Pretty much common knowledge now is that staging is definitely the way to go to showcase your home so that it not only sells more quickly but it also gets a better price. We decided rental furniture places were risky for staging (wanted "class") and knew that our style was not going to work with buyers. We saw Valerie's work and how she seemed to match the house and the decor and the price point without alienating any buyer but still delivering something special. We decided to trust her as a professional and let her work her magic. Wow.
For years I'd played with different layouts in my LR. I'd consulted two designers over the years and recently had one stager in for consult. Valerie came in with what seemed like a hodge podge of furniture and "fixins" and 24 hours later had done what no one before had accomplished. She'd set up that space so that it seemed cozy but not small and all the great views were not harmed. The house flowed and felt comfortable and each area had its own identity. I wanted to move back in !
We consulted with her to decide what needed staging beyond the usual LR, dining, and master suite. I had thought more needed to be staged but she said we could do less and that saved me some money. Some places would have seemed awkward to a buyer but she made them special areas to be appreciated. I really don't think some of the potential buyers could envision what the possibilities were without her and her assistant Mary's talent.
I hate to say it but I was a bit worried about getting someone too creative because I worried that they'd be more into the art than into the business side and selling your home is stressful business. Valerie seems to be balanced between left and right brain because she made very appointment, returned every call, and never missed a beat. Organized and on time. Thank you! Woo Hoo! House sold.
