I rented a place from Koi at the Visconti in LA when I was there for a travel assignment. I worked with Luis Sanchez and he is the THE MOST unprofessional person you can rent a place from.

He is extremely unprofessional and not responsive. At my first encounter with him, he was late to our appointment. Getting a hold of him while I stayed at the complex was a nightmare. Luckily, I didn't have a problem with maintenance hence not needing his help for the most of the month. That one time I did need to contact him due to wifi issue was terrible, only reaching him after many calls and emails.

The problem came after I moved out. I had to email and call him EXCESSIVELY to get my security deposit back. I would only get a response after telling him I was gonna sue them for not getting my security deposit back. This went over a month.

He kept stating that he was "on a vacation" but I find it hard to believe that you are on vacation every month over a week and he does not answer any of his emails, calls, voice mails.

I used this apartment bc I worked a night shift and needed a darker place with minimal sun light. But big mistake, I think because of the lack of sunlight the apartment was probably moldy. The smell was hard to get out and I've gotten sick so many times living here.

I would HIGHLY recommend that you don't use Koi if you are in LA to find a place for travel nursing. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

I stayed at one of their apartments at The Medici in DTLA for 13 weeks while on an assignment for work. Luis was the landlord and he was AWFUL. Upon move in I paid a $300 security deposit and $175 cleaning fee. I had to clean the apartment all over again because there was hair all over the bathroom sink, the dishes were greasy and not clean, and you could feel crumbs under your feet while walking on the carpets even though they were still wet from being cleaned. There was no broom and mop and when Luis was contacted about it, he said they do not provide that at first, then said he would provide it and took him 2 weeks to bring one. Every one of our appointments he was late, one time didn't show up at all. Upon move out, he took $90 out of the security deposit for a "deep shampooing". When questioned he stated it was for the carpet cleaning. When I mentioned to him that it was not in the contract I signed to pay for carpet cleaning in the next email he said the apartment was not left in the same condition as when moved in. Also, I was paying $4400 in rent every month for a furnished apartment but when talking to a neighbor who moved in 3 weeks after me, he was paying $2800 for unfurnished. Which means he was charging $1600/month for furniture!! The apartment itself was basic even though before move in Luis states it is modern, high end furniture. If there was a different landlord and the price was cheaper, I would have stayed for my extension.

Luis Sanchez is probably the most unprofessional and incompetent person I have ever dealt with while apartment hunting in LA. He would consistently make false promises on following up and keeping me updated.

Koi interiors' practices are also incredibly sketchy and should be avoided. Luis will email you pictures of the unit you'll be "staying" in but will ultimately offer you a different and less attractive unit than the one you were shown for the same price because the initial one was unavailable for whatever reason.

PLEASE for the love of God, don't pay THOUSANDS of dollars on a credit card without seeing the place that Koi Interiors offers. Luis will also remind you an inappropriate number of times that he cannot hold your unit or take it off the market until you pay using your credit card weeks, if not months, ahead of actually being able to even view the property and unit.

Avoid these shady business practices and unprofessional service.

Luis Sanchez is the worst and unprofesional person. I went to see the apartment with my housband and our 8 months old baby to see it in person and check it out. As we arrived there he showed us another apartment wich we said that we don t want it because is hardwood floor and our baby is crawling and not safe for her. After he bring us to the one we where there for and he said that is available in 4 days, we agreed to take it and sent him the passport so that we make all the papers before. Before we left he said that we will see that we will never have any kind of problem with then because they are a serios company… the next morning he texted me to say that they don t have that apartment anymore because they gave it to somebody else, but that they still have it the one with the hardwood floor (wich we already explained him that is not safe for the baby…)
After we found out that they rent illegally the flats in The Visconti building because they don t allow Air BNB and short therm rentals there. Worst so called “serios company” and person to colaborate with…. Just avoid them… also i see that before my rewiew they had another 3 and all of them were negative and complaining abouth their unprofessionalism… sorry my english, not a native speacker.

He sent cleaning guy but it is not clean . He used over one hour for dishwasher and refrigerator. He is not pro. He is Luis's friend .
I cannot see direct TV because company did not pay
He gave direct tv lists
I thought that is hotel

I paid almost $5000
for 29 days
This apartment room is $2600
They charged double
I need good service
If they cannot fix this problem I request refund or discount
My friend said that 31 days no tax fee

I smell from bed and I saw many yellow color stains .

This is very ubhyginic and unsanitary and unhealthy.

Company didn't want to change mattress .

I watch same channel 11 days . I slept on the floor 10 days.

Iron table has many stains . This company did not check and prepare before customer arriving.

He gave my room key to his friend but I did not get key form Luis .

He said that you have insurance .

He wants to use my insurance for all problems of solution.

I reject it.

I request refund for 11 days dirty and bad service. Kitchin tools is not good.
I can say many problems.

We used the Visconti unit and Luis was great! He was always there when we needed him answering to questions and phone calls. He refunded us the deposit with no problem. The unit was clean and had everything we
needed. We extended our stay and all transactions were run smoothly.
We highly recommend dealing with him...
